Duke Nukem - Land of the Babes is almost mindless and relaxing gameplay. I grew up with the Super Nintendo and the Playstation and I don't care for games that get more complex than that. Having the very best of all systems all the time is reaching the point to where the pricetag is like a car.

I'd love to see the series remade for the PS2 but now that system has almost outlived it usefulness with Sony, unfortunally. All Duke Nukem games are mostly top notch but it makes the series end on a wimper instead of what Duke is known for, the BANG!!! This game does keep the Duke tradition of weapons and each new weapon brings on new ways to give pain. Being the weakest doesn't make it a bad game. This is the weakest of the three games to come out on the Playstation but it is also the last. I hate seeing a great system get downplayed by the controller but sometimes change is good and too much is overdose. Sorry, but since Nintendo dropped the cont roler for the Super Nintendo- I've never looked back. They were hints of a new game coming out but nothing that ever saw the sun of day, well except for that Duke Nukem Zero that came out on the Nintendo 64 I believe.

Feels like the creators of the series ran out of gas and never bothered filling up again. The Playstation had a great line on the series and to the Platstation 2 jump, I've never seen Duke Nukem come out again. Duke Nukem - Land of the Babes is the last of this great series I can grab without going to a PC. All of a sudden he's playing like Tomb Raider, granted a lot more gunning involved. My personal option is Duke Nukem shouldn't of ever left the FPS catagory.

If you're looking for a game with major character developement and a convulted plot then no, don't buy it. Should you buy it? If you want to hope on the band wagon before the long awaited 12 year hiatus release of a next gen Duke Nukem drives the classics through the roof then yes. A decent stress reliever and there are funny little easter eggs strewn through out the game. The game isn't overly complicated, if it moves shoot it, if you see ammo grab it, and if all else fails destroy everything. This is the second game to use the tomb raider over the shoulder perspective in the classic ps one trilogy of games. The name Duke Nukem harkens back to a day when over the top gaming was the thing.

While the actual game is played from a third-person perspective, the multiplayer options incorporate a first-person viewpoint with a split screen for two players. There's a special blooper reel that can be unlocked with a little bit of skill too. The game also features 25 cinematic sequences that capture the outcome of each mission and advance the storyline. Additionally, there are a variety of helpful pick-ups including a pair of Infrared goggles, a teleporter, the jetpack, and a gas mask. Remaining true to the series, Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes supplies you with a heavy arsenal of weaponry including the blaster, grenade launcher, a golden Desert Eagle, and the devastating RPG rocket. Duke can also swim through water, climb up ladders and walls, and explore the confines of zero gravity movement. This allows the player to focus on the more important aspects of the game such as rescuing babes and solving puzzles. In addition to optional auto aiming, Duke will automatically open doors and climb upon short ledges. Utilizing his time portal, Duke will traverse through alien landscapes, intricate sewer systems, warehouses, and the ever-popular strip clubs in which he frequents. With four unique training areas and six multiplayer arenas, a total of 24 levels are included (14 of which are actual missions). Featuring high-resolution 3D environments, Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes is a third-person adventure filled with alien scum and lots of babes. These aliens are set for a full-scale invasion on Earth with an agenda that includes the eradication of the male population and the enslaving of beautiful women. The Unified Babe Resistance is a group of escapees running from an alien colony's hybridization wrath.
